The Newcomer Service wishes everyone a merry X-mas and hope that you would like to join the online X-mas hygge event on Dec 10th.
The COVID-19 figures is at the moment increasing in Esbjerg with 183 new cases the previous week, therefore all physical newcomer events are postponed to January. Please find below the selection of events scheduled for the beginning of the New Year. All newcomer events in the beginning of 2021 are still held with a limited amount of participants to secure distance. Therefore most events are full, so make sure to sign up in good time. First come first served. At the events all Covid-19 guidelines are enforced.

The Wish Tree
At the Wish tree in Esbjerg you can pick a heart and fulfil a Christmas wish for a child, who are living at an institution/orphanage. The Wish Tree is placed in the courtyard by the International house - the old prison and courthouse in Esbjerg, Torvegade 23.
The Wish Tree is decorated with hearts, each with a wish from one child in the price-range of 100-250 DKK. Feel free to come pick a heart & bring back a wrapped gift with the heart attached no later than December 16th. 2020 - the gift will be passed on to the child.
The gifts can be handed in at the Event department, International House, Torvegade 23, Esbjerg all weekdays 10am.-3pm. or you can give the gift to Santa by the Wish Tree or at the X-mas Room, Kongensgade 54 at specific times.
